Gather ideas. Look at kitchens in magazines and in the homes of your friends and neighbors. Visit "open houses," models homes in
your area.
Choose your materials. Make selections of materials that you
think you would like to use. (wood species, color, etc...)
Measureand make a sketch. Record your measurements
and sketch your ideas.
Prepare for a great looking kitchen. After you have all the
materials on-site, schedule the installation. Prior to installation:
*Make plans to keep children and pets away from the
construction area until installation is complete.
*Designate a trash collection area for the installers,
let them know beforehand if you want to keep any discarded material.
*Set rules for the work crew. Let them know where to park,
what door to enter, what restroom to use, where to use the phone, etc.
